When the room goes away
Renovations, growing enrollment, a room handed to a new homeroom. Sooner or later a music teacher can end up on a cart, and a cart that can't climb stairs is not much of a plan.
Singing games solve that by design, because the instrument is the one every student walks in with. A clapping game needs a partner, a fingerplay needs ten fingers, and a passing game goes down a row of desks as easily as around a circle. These are the games in the library that fit a regular classroom with the desks still in it.
"Good music teaching is not about music. It's about creating joy, humor, and love in the classroom. Music is simply the way to get there."

Both are on the list, and both are open to everyone. Each is demonstrated on video, one as a full teaching video and one as a bunnies animation, the same two ways songs are demonstrated throughout the library.
A cumulative Irish folk song with a partner clap. The verses pile up as the song goes, so it holds a class from beginning to end, and nobody needs to move a desk to play it.
The one your upper elementary students may already know. The clapping pattern is far easier to learn from the bunny animation than from the score, which makes it a natural for the homeroom screen.

Already have a curriculum?
The Singing Classroom is deliberately not a set curriculum. It is a library of 150+ songs and singing games you use to build or supplement your own, and it works alongside whatever your district already provides.
When the lessons you were given assume a music room you no longer have, these are the pieces that still work.
Districts can buy with a purchase order. Contact us for pricing and documentation.
